Often we see offspring of Bollywood celebrities getting into films. An industry that is governed by its godfather connection, it’s but obvious to see more star children making their debut in films. But there are some who haven’t yet kept their foot in filmdom. We list a few celeb daughters who have the potential to make it to films...
Alia Bhatt - Daughter of Mahesh Bhatt
This teenager eventually seems to be Bollywood material provided she loses some of the puppy fat. Recall that her elder step-sister Pooja Bhatt too was chubby during her acting days?
Narmada Ahuja - Daughter of Govinda
She unintentionally created quite a controversy when she escorted Salman Khan during IIFA 2007 leading to rumors of an apparent split between Salman and Katrina Kaif. Meet Narmada Ahuja - Govinda’s daughter. She is on the beautiful side and is a combination of her parents. Whether or not she would want to take the plunge and enter Bollywood is anyone’s guess.
Ahana Deol - Daughter of Dharmendra and Hema Malini
The youngest Deol is currently studying direction at Subhash Ghai’s filmmaking school Whistling Woods International. Though not as beautiful as her mother Hema Malini , she certainly has what it takes to get into Bollywood (considering that her sister has made it too.) Both to a very handsome couple, she has been seen with her mother and sister for a water purifier advertisement on television but doesn’t seem to be really comfortable onscreen. She is a trained classical dancer and has done many stage shows with her mother and sister.
Akshara Hassan - daughter of Kamal Hassan and Sarika Hassan
Kamal Hassan and Sarika are no longer together. But Sarika’s looks and Kama’s sirname is being carried forward by their daughters. While elder daughter Shruti Hassan, a rock singer, is all set to make her debut in Bollywood with a multi-starrer film titled Luck opposite Imran Khan, younger daughter Akshara Hassan has potential to follow the family tradition forward.
Sonakshi Sinha - Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter
Sonakshi has no intentions of facing the camera like her father and elder brother Kush. The 18 year old is quite happy doing her bit behind the scenes as costume designer. She did the costumes for her father’s film Mera Dil Lekke Dekho . A strange thing to be noted, however, is that Sonakshi bears a close resemblance to yesteryear actress Reena Roy, whom Shatrughan Sinha dated in their heydays.
Ridhima Kapoor - Daughter of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh
Though she got married, we say Ridhima Kapoor is one stunner. Her parents Rishi and Neetu Singh were a hot pair during their days and that has rubbed off on Ridhima. Sadly to say we have heard that she has no plans on entering Bollywood unlike brother Ranbir Kapoor and is happy and content with her married life.
Meghna Oberoi - daughter of Suresh Oberoi and sister of Vivek Oberoi.
This young lady has already done an acting course from Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting school but seems to be more inclined towards music. She has already sung Vaada Karo and Mere Haathon Mein Nau Nau Choodiyaan for a remix album and then sang for her brother’s film Masti . Following her brother’s success, will she too get into acting? Wait and watch!
Saba Ali Khan - Daughter of Sharmila Tagore
Her elder siblings Saif and Soha have already made it in Bollywood but somehow we don’t see her getting there. Saba may not bag lead roles in films but can achieve quite a bit in character roles.
